2009 Undergraduate Research Symposia (URS) in the Physical Sciences, Mathematics and Computer Science.

Event date: Fri Nov 6th 2009 - Sun Nov 8th 2009 at the University of Chicago

The URS in the Physical Sciences, Mathematics and Computer Science will be held November 6-8 at The University of Chicago. Students are welcome to make their research presentations, either oral or poster, on subjects including chemistry, physics, environmental science, math, computer science and engineering. Seven Rivers Undergraduate Research Symposium

Event Date: Friday, November 6, 2009

This symposium, which will highlight student research accomplishments, will be held in the D.B. and Marge Reinhart Center for Ethics, Science, and Technology at Viterbo University, La Crosse, WI. The symposium will include a keynote address, lunch, presentations, reception, and poster session. Students are invited to give an oral presentation (15 minutes) or a poster of their research in the natural, health, behavioral, or social sciences. The symposium will begin at approximately 11 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 6. A final schedule will be available in late October.

The deadline for registration is Friday Oct. 23. Abstracts are due on Oct. 30 for students presenting.on November 3 (for students presenting).

Twelfth Annual Nebraska Conference for Undergraduate Women in Mathematics at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln

Event Date: Friday, January 29 - Sunday, January 31, 2010.

A national showcase for research projects of undergraduate women in mathematical sciences. The main program will be talks by undergraduate women about their own research. Also, panel discussions on Careers Using Mathematics and Choosing A Mathematics Graduate Program
